I know Doug would have loved this planting. He loved trees as do I. I am heartbroken and shocked he is gone, but he lives on richly in our memories.

Art always said there's no fisherman like Doug. I'm so grateful I got to hear his voice and speak with him over the phone a couple weeks ago. Mary, my heart goes out to you and your family. He was way too young. Know I'm here for anything you need.

A true Friend, a Real neighbor, just a remarkable person in every way. Doug was always there when you needed him. He was always happiest when around his family or just talking about them, family meant everything to him. Lots of great memories of laughter hanging out with Doug and Uncle Woody. You will be missed my friend.

I know I speak for the whole Bauma family saying that Doug was a wonderful part of our lives. So happy he and his family got to create and share so many memories together with us. For me, I remember the Hershey days - such great times from my childhood. Thoughts and prayers and lots of love.

Doug, while no longer in this world, continues to surround us with the beauty he cherished. The strong family of exceptional people, devoted love for everything in nature and dedication to always striving for perfection in all his endeavors. I will miss his dry wit, wry smile and seemingly endless energy.

Doug was a true supporter of Springfield Township. Whenever you needed help all you had to do was think of Doug and he would be there. He was a true gentleman. He will be missed not only by his family but all of us who knew him. I don’t have to ask if he will rest in peace because we all know the answer. Until we meet again my friend.

Doug was always one of Dolores and my favorite people. The two things I remember about him are his courage and love of life. He was always cheerful and friendly and he never let anything defeat him. I remember when he visited us in Dayton at the start uf his early travels. He had a pickup truck with a camper tor and a mattress.in back and he was off to see the national parks. You have to love a guy like that.

Our hearts are broken along with your family. Doug and Rocky just spent the week together planning and working on our pond. Rocky had told Doug how happy he was that Doug helped make his dreams come true with his knowledge and beautiful work. God bless your family and this wonderful man. Hugs, Rocky and Debbie

Mary, Doug, Katie & John - it was a joy getting to know your husband/dad over the years. My fondest memories are in your backyard planning the floats for Homecoming. He was always happiest when he was surrounded by all of you. My heart is with all of you as you navigate the deep grief I know you all feel. Sending lots of love & hugs your way.

One of the best memories I have of Doug is camping in Hershey with my family, him and his kids. I enjoyed the stories him and my uncle Ben told around the campfire of the things they did in their youth and his laughter throughout those stories, resonates in that memory.
