Obituary of Janis T. Flanagan

Roebling: Janis T. Flanagan, age 70 of Roebling, New Jersey, departed this life on Friday, June 4, 2021 at home in the company of Bob, Donna and Ziggy. Janis was born in Newark and was the daughter of the late John J. and Teresa S. Halaz Flanagan. She resided in North Brunswick and Pennsylvania before calling Roebling her home in 1977. Janis retired as the EOF assistant director for the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in Trenton after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was active with the Florence Township Republican Party, enjoyed cruises and her home and backyard garden. Janis was proud to be of Irish and Hungarian decent. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jill Flanagan and is survived by her loving companion, Bob Guice, unwavering lifelong friend, Donna Murray, her feline bestie Ziggy, sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Jim Pierro, nephew, Kyle Flanagan, her extended Guice family, cousins and friends. A celebration of Janis life will be Sunday, August 15,2021. Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2021 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Janis may be made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, New Jersey 08060 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
