Obituary of Daniel "Danny" Perro

Florence: Daniel “Danny” Perro age 84 of Florence, New Jersey departed this life on Sunday, June 11, 2023 in the company of his loving family and dear friends. Mr. Perro was born in Mount Holly to the late Raymond Perro Sr.  and Julia Sabo Perro. He resided in Roebling, Brigantine, Ocean Acres and Arizona before calling Florence his home. He served his country with honor in the US Navy. Danny was a barber for the majority of his life. He was also employed in law enforcement for the Arizona Highway Patrol, the Delaware River and Rancocas Creek Marine Police Division and was the supervisor of security for Resorts Casino. During his tenure with the casino, he had the opportunity to meet many notable celebrities including his all- time favorite, Don Rickels amongst many others. In his youth, he was an original member of the "Amboy Dukes" and was also a classic car aficionado, entering his 1950 Ford Classic in many car shows and exhibits throughout the area. Dan was a gifted  conversationalist who would engage in delightful conversations with anyone he met. Some of his most cherished times were spent traveling with Kathy and enjoying their garden. Danny will be celebrated for his kind, warm and genuine personality toward everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Perro Jr. and his son, Daniel Perro. He is survived by the love of his life for 28 years, Kathy Csizmadia-Smith, his nieces and their families, Karen Perro, Terry Lyman and Amy Ranes, cousins, Nick and Mary Katkic and their family and Sandra Paglione, his “sweetie pie”, Lindsey Smith, his unwavering friend, Ronald Marinelli, who was like a brother to him as well as many special and dear friends. The funeral will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Friends may call Monday from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 or the DAV – Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
