Obituary of Philomena E. "Phyllis" Christiani

Columbus: Philomena E. "Phyllis" Christiani, age 95 of Homestead at Mansfield departed this life on Thursday, April 27, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Christiani was born in New York City and was the daughter of the late Joseph Simeone and Dora Kavazanjian Simeone. She resided in Roselle, New Jersey before moving to Homestead at Mansfield 26 years ago. Phyllis retired from Warner Lambert Pharmaceuticals in Morris Plains, New Jersey with 18 years of faithful service. Some of Phyllis's most enjoyable times were spent trying her luck at the Atlantic City Casinos. However, her greatest joy was fulfilling the role of grandmother to her grandchildren. Mrs. Christiani was a member of the Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Unit 39. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis A. Christiani in 2000 and is survived by her children and their spouses, Carol Ann and John E. Jr. Johnson, Lois and Michael W. Pucci, Barbara Caton, Louis and Helen Christiani and Thomas and Christine Christiani, her 8 grandsons, John III, Christopher, Daniel, Thomas, Louis, Vincent, Joseph and James, her great grandchildren, Jack, Emma, Avery, Mia and Sarah, her brothers, Christopher and Paul as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:30 PM Wednesday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Deacon Al Pennise officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township.
