What can I say about my little brother Michael? I can say he was always funny and could make you laugh and he had a great sense of humor! I can say he served in U S Army! He was scared of going for boat rides. Mom told us to get into the boat. We were still tied to the dock he got in and all the color drained from his face. I thought he was going to pass out. He LOVED the New York Jets! We had many conversations about football. He said that Grandma gave him Jets clothes and he decided that was his team. We were very small when he started rooting for them and he stuck with them even when they couldn't seem to win a game. When we were very small Mom told me to pull him up the hill on the sled because the window guys came. It was icy and I slipped on the way up. I cut my lip blood everywhere. I remember trying to decide what to do. I let the sled go back down the hill. Ran in the house. Mom asked where is Michael? I told her at the bottom of the hill. I remember the two of us going outside to build snowmen when we got out of school for snow. Having snowball fights! I also spent hours throwing the baseball with Mike in the backyard over the wire as it was one of our favorite past times. I also remember throwing a kickball at him when he didn't have his glasses on and it hit him in the face. I asked him if he saw it and he said he couldn't see it. I knew then he would always need his glasses. I remember being the scorekeeper for his baseball team. I remember all the car rides on trips when we were all stuck in the backseat, even one to Florida with all 4 of us kids and a dog! Michael, I can also say you left us all too early! I know you are in heaven and you'll be watching your family and your Jets! I will even root for them for you! Love, your big sistrr Sherry

Mike always answered a question to the point and with no extra frills. He had a great wit, fun sense of humor and calming presence. It was obvious to all that he was wonderful husband and father. Some of my fondest memories are of him playing in the backyard either with his football or with our dogs. I was happy to not be alone getting sick on the fishing trips as kids. He was a great brother and he will be missed.

Michael was a man of few words, a calm quiet presence, but when he did talk he always had something funny to say. He was the king of one liners. He was a great brother and a great man, a kind and loving presence. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Q: What will you miss most about Michael?
A: I know I'm going to miss a lot about my dad, mostly his sense of humor, he always had a way of saying nothing and making me laugh. I still remember his "whats on your shirt" that he's been doing since i was 5. We mostly had movie quotes we'd say back and forth to each other like from his favorite movie "A Christmas Story" saying "I cant feel my arms" or " I triple Dog Dare Ya". It was a tradition in our house to watch is every year, it still is. I miss him so much already and it'll be hard but I know he's in a better place, he was too good a person not to be.

All of my memories of Michael are great so it’s hard to pinpoint one. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Michael, knows exactly what I mean by that. Being in his presence meant you were automatically in a place of acceptance and enjoyable moments. When I was growing up, I did not have the regular life most people do when they are young. I was less fortunate and moved around often. Michael would drive out of his way, even if that meant going towns over, to ensure that I had time to just be a kid and hangout with Jeremy. Michael and Marianna always made me feel right at home when I was with them. Even though I was not family, they always made me feel like it. Michael was the first man that was a true role model in my life and gave me an idea of what a great father and husband should look like. For that, I will be forever grateful.
I’ll see you later Obi-Wan

I'll always remember Michael as a man of few words much like his father, Frank and his half-sister, Jessica. As a child he was always well-mannered and so funny. He loved saying that his favorite color was green because it was the same color as money!$$$ Always kept us smiling.

My memories of Michael oh where to begin.. his personality was one of the best. I worked with him for about 9 years and he often encouraged my prankster behavior when I first started. He would leave packets of Mayo on my desk or toss one here and there over my head and I would return the favor until one day I tossed a packet of BBQ sauce and it exploded on the back of his shirt I was terrified to tell him because I didn’t know him well at the time and he was completely calm and cool about it. We continued small harmless pranks/jokes over the years. Some other great memories were that Michael had a groundhog or beaver that he called “Bucky” which would make an appearance at times, one day Lauren and I held Bucky for “ransom” and it was a great laugh. I joined in calling him “The Boss” long before he actually became my Boss which he was a great at. I will miss his conversations and jokes and his daily “Simmer Down” and “Hmmmm” comments, his “it’s wayyy too early” before 10am was one of his daily catch phrases among many others. Michael knew his stuff when it came to work and he always was a person that you could go to if ever you needed some level headed advice. He spoke fondly of his wife and son and you knew how much they meant to him. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Michael’s family.
Love and Prayers, Melissa G.

Q: What was Michael like as a child?
A: Mike was 6 Yrs. old when Sandy his mother and I met. We were both previously married and both had 2 children. People use to call us the “Brady Bunch”
Mike played little league baseball for a few years and he really enjoyed it.
We used to go down to Tuckerton several times a year, and rent a boat and go fishing in the bay, and sometimes go to Barnegat Light.
In 1985 I started getting a season pass for Island Beach park, and the whole family had a great time on the beach.
We also went camping a few times.
Mike was fun loving, well mannered, had good friends and stayed away from trouble.
We love him and will miss him very much. May God have mercy on him.

Michael was much admired and greatly respected by all that worked with him. He was reliable, with a steady hand and a dry sense of humor which was so appreciated. He will be sorely missed. I hope that your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We've shared so many laughs and inside jokes that are still so funny many years later. I will always cherish the days when we were cubby mates on 'the island.' We just recently were reminiscing about our tricks and silliness of the good ole days. Showing people the 'Simmer Down' sign or the 'Cone of Uncertainty' is something so many people will remember. The 'Hmmmms' and 'It's too early (usually applied to Molly-haha). Silliness aside, Mike's heart was huge and his kind, calm demeanor is a practice I try to emulate.

After recently viewing all those hundred plus wonderful photos and videos posted through texts, link sharing and snap chat, requested by Marianna, I realize that I missed so much of Michael's life and regret it deeply!
I will always remember him as a happy guy always
smiling! He also was a great host along with
Marianna at their home when it was their turn to
host the "The Taylor Family" annual August reunion.
He was always the "grill man" and insisted on doing
it himself with great enjoyment, even if you'd offer
your assistance!
He loved seeing his parents, son and wife, siblings along with their children, some aunts and other
family.
He got a lot of pleasure when HE got to eat and WATCH all of us enjoy their fantastic pool. Kids playing games, others swimming or floating on many rafts.
I know you are with God and other family and friends who may have reached heaven before you
but you are still SO LOVED AND MISSED here! xo

I definitely will miss my buddy/friend Michael aka “The Boss”. We’ve been friends close to 19 years. Michael would always stop by our area daily, lending a helping hand and answering questions we may have. Joking around and him telling us to “simmer down” or him tapping on his watch that it was way too early in the morning. He’s gotten a lot of us back with placing that scary rat in our desk drawers. I will miss our daily chats, particularly conversations about our football teams - his Jets and my Cowboys.
Michael was a true friend and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
My deepest condolences to the family!

Michael was very stingy with hugs unless it was a very special occasion
I was very happy that he was able to share this day with me and the photographer was able to capture the hug
He will be deeply missed
And gone way to early
Sending lots of hugs for strength
Know that Michael is always with you
Listen for the whisper in the wind. Look for the sign he sends
They are there….

I think we can all agree that Michael was a tough read when you first met him. I worked with him for 17 years and came to know what a special person he was and considered him a valued friend. From that wicked, dry sense of humor to "hmmmm" and facial expressions, he just had a gentle and kind way about him. I will treasure our discussions about football and his beloved Jets, tidbits about Marianna and Jeremy and the family, as well as his yearly quest to find Bette Crocker Gingerbread cookie mix around the holidays (I was his supplier when he could not find it in NJ). Michael was certainly exposed to more "girl talk" at work than any man could handle but never let on that he was listening, even though we knew he was.
No words can express how sorry I am to hear of Michael's passing. He was an outstanding co-worker and friend who will live in our hearts and memories forever. May you all find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Kathy Warchol

Michael was a great person and he will truly be missed. I will miss his “hmm” replies when I would see him in the hall. That was our way of saying hello or good morning. I can hear Barb’s voice say "Hey Boss" when he would come to talk to us in our little area. We always had fun conversations when he was around. If I had a problem or question at work, he was my go too. He knew everything and would pull out his organized binder and always be willing to help me. He was quiet but once you got to know him, he was a loyal friend.

Q: How would you describe Michael to someone who had never met them?
A: i remember meeting Mike 18 yrs ago, he barely spoke to me. He was so quiet and reserved. He really took his time to get to know you, but once he became your friend, you got to see how funny, sweet, kind, and patient he was, his awesome personality really shone bright. His friendship was everything and will always be treasured.
we loved hearing stories about his wife, how they met and how much he loved her. I had to advise his about how Amazon is not an illness but just made good sense.
He'd tell us about " the boy", and there was so much proudness in voice you could feel the respect and love he had for his son and the man he had become.
Mike is part of our little PIP family and will never be forgotten.
Thank you for sharing him with us, thank you mike for all the fun, laughter, ""hmmm" for when we were acting crazy, the simple silly looks and facial expressions, it was the best part of day.
