Obituary of Mary E. Butcher

Burlington: Mary E. Butcher, age 88 of Burlington, New Jersey departed this life Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at her home. She was born in Burlington City and was the daughter of the late Michael and Ellen Elizabeth Fewkes Buccigrossi. Mary called Florence Township her home for most of her life before moving to Stuart, Florida and most recently returning to Burlington. She was a retired office manager with many years of dedicated service. Mary's most delightful experiences in life were those that were simple and brought happiness to her daily routine, including her nightly "Manhattan". Playing Bingo and revealing the prize on her lottery tickets were paramount to her way of life. Certainly, she was the most content spending time with her family and fulfilling the role of mom mom to her grandchildren. Her loving and spirited personality has left a trace of beautiful memories in the lives of all those Mary has touched, leaving these memories to treasure and keep. She was a member of the Good Neighbor Senior Citizens in Florence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jamie Cassidy and her siblings, Ellen Clare, Peggy Ann and John. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Cassidy, grandchildren, CJ Kessler and Colleen and Chad Kessler and Yaya, great granddaughter, Mia Cassidy Kessler, son-in-law, Cholly Kessler as well as several nieces and nephews including her goddaughter, Donna Rinaldi.
