Please share a memory of Rose to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Myrtle Beach: Rose Marie Haramy Berry, age 75, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Florence Township departed this life Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Berry was born in Trenton to the late Joseph and Rose Marie Sharkey Haramy. She was a graduate of Florence Township Memorial High School class of 1964 and was proud to call Florence Township her home for the majority of her life. During retirement Rose took up residency in Wildwood Crest and most recently in Myrtle Beach. Rose was a dedicated cafeteria aide for many years at Holy Assumption School in Roebling and shared her time and talents volunteering for the annual parish carnival, PTA and various church and school committees. Rose enjoyed trying her luck at the slot machines in Atlantic City and Las Vegas and loved sharing her free room perks and incentives with family. She was a devoted Yankees and Jets fan and often spoke of her love for Derek Jetter and Joe Namath. But one person in particular always had her heart, Frank Sinatra. She was lucky enough to see him several times and was thrilled when her youngest grandson was born on his birthday. She will be affectionally remembered for her comforting Hungarian cooking and chicken noodle soup. The importance of family and sharing family dinners was paramount. No one can forget the fun and food of her annual Christmas dinners. Rose was also passionate about the love and care of animals. She was never without a cat or dog. Mrs. Berry was a former member of Holy Assumption Church in Roebling. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, William R. Schuyler and granddaughter, Savannah Rose Schuyler. She is survived by her husband, soulmate and best friend of 60 years (married 56), John E. Berry, her children and their spouses, Jennifer Schuyler, Kathryn and Mitchell Pykosz and Rose Marie and Michael Sullivan, grandchildren, John, Mikaela, Ryan and Matthew, great grandson, Navan, her extended Berry family as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Deacon Ronald Schwoebel officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Dr., Westampton Township, NJ 08060 or the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
