Obituary of Maryann Bunnick

Roebling: Maryann Bunnick, age 79 of Roebling, New Jersey entered her eternal life on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in Cooper Hospital University Medical Center in Camden. Mrs. Bunnick was born in Trenton and was the daughter of the late Joseph Jr. and Elizabeth Rusnak Bordas. She was proud to call Roebling her lifelong home. In addition to raising her family, she was a teacher in Holy Assumption Parochial School, employed by and retired from General Motors and was the coordinator of activities at the Masonic Home in Burlington. Maryann's faith was paramount to her existence. She was honored to share her unselfish and generous personality with the activities and fundraising efforts of both St. Mary's and St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Parishes in Roebling for her entire life. Mare was creative and talented, having the ability to create unforgettable themes for the annual Calendar Party, prepare her ethnic delights and always take time for a helping hand and friendly smile toward others. Maryann will be affectionately celebrated as a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, Baba, sister, sister-in-law and friend. Maryann's most treasured times were spent at the New Jersey shore on the beach with her family. She has lived a life worth cherishing. Her contributions and love will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege of sharing a part of her amazing life. Mrs. Bunnick was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Romanian Catholic Church and St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Roebling. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Michael A. Bunnick, her children and their spouses, Regina and Gene Hinchey and Michael and Kristen Bunnick, her siblings and their spouses, Bernadine and John Jakim, Joseph and Christine Bordas and Madeline and Cornel Rebeles, beloved grandchildren, Madelyn, Nadia, Kelly and Michael, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Louis Bunnick and Valerie Sweeney as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends including Ann Marie and Ronald Agoes. Funeral will be 9:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be Tuesday 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Romanian Catholic Church, Roebling with Rev. George David officiating. Friends may call Monday from 4:00PM to 7:00 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
