Obituary of Debra L. "Deb" Houseworth

Florence: Debra L. "Deb" Houseworth of Florence, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Houseworth was born in Willingboro and was the daughter of the late Herbert R. Thomas and Myrtle F. Hughes Thomas. Deb called Florence her home lifelong. Some of Debra's most pleasurable times were spent at the beach on LBI and in Ocean City, New Jersey. For Deb her family was not only important to her, her family was everything to her. She not only had the privilege of being a loving wife and mother, she was also blessed to be able to fulfill the role of "Nanny" to Natalie and Bam. Mrs. Houseworth was a member of the Parish of St. Clare in Florence until the parish merged, she then continued her faith in the Parish of Sts. Francis and Clare and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of the parish, member and past president of the Francis W. Robbins Unit 194 in Florence, member and past president of the Florence Township Fire Company Auxiliary and coordinator of the annual New Jersey State Firemen`s Convention in Wildwood for the Florence members. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Harold F. "Toby" Houseworth Jr., her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Emily Houseworth, her daughter, Melanie Houseworth, grandchildren, Natalie Houseworth and Kevin "Bam" Houseworth Jr. as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, her dear friends, Margaret Conrey and Dianne Smith and grand puppy, Lola. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10:00AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Deacon Gary Richardson officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The Florence Township Fire Department Ritual will be 7:00 PM Tuesday. Interment will be held privately in Calvary Cemetery, Florence. Facial coverings are required for the funeral services. Deb's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation.
