Charlane S. Allen of Ormond Beach, FL passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 in her home at the age of 75. Born in Trenton, Char grew up in Roebling, NJ and later raised her family in Forked River, NJ. Charlane is survived by her two daughters, Christina Hunter of West Hartford, CT and Jill Hunter of Jacksonville, FL, Jill's husband, Brian Drysdale and their three grandchildren, Kaia, Amelia and Carter Drysdale, her brother, William L. Allen, Jr. and his wife, Theresa and sister, Sally Ann Hankins Soupios, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Charlane is predeceased by her parents William L. Allen, Sr. and Edna Hankins, her sister, Kathleen, her brother, Keith, and her former husband, Kenneth Hunter. Char was a beloved mother, aunt and friend. A graduate of Florence Township High School, classmates may remember her as a conscientious student and spirited cheerleader. Later in life, her friends will remember her as an avid bowler and bingo player. Charlane loved animals and the beach and enjoyed her retirement on the Florida coast. She will be missed by all that were lucky enough to know her.
