Burlington Township: Raymond S. Reca, age 83 of Burlington Township, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Masonic Village of New Jersey. Mr. Reca was born in Bristol, PA and was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Vergantini Rago. Ray was a 37 year resident of Florence Township before moving to Homestead at Mansfield and later settling in Whiting. Raymond was a retired maintenance welder for the Burlington County Bridge Commission with 14 years of dedicated service. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to1958. In 1963 he was honorably discharged from the US Air Force Reserve. Mr. Reca was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church in Roebling serving as an usher for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Garden State Gun and Bow Club, loved fishing and had a good time shooting pool and playing cards. Ray was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine A. Burkus Reca, his second wife, Lorraine Dahlstrom Hollywood-Reca and his brother, Michael Reca. He is survived by his son, Raymond A. Reca, son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheryl Reca, daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Shreve Marshall, sisters, Josephine Hall and Rose Hibbs, brother and sister-in-law Vincent and Jeanne Reca, his grandchildren, Marisa, Nicholas & Kirsten, Julie Ann, Andrew, Casey, Hilary and Elisabeth and many nieces and nephews. Catholic funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Deacon Ronald Schwoebel officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery. Facial coverings are preferred.
