Obituary of Grace R. Rogers

Florence Township: Grace R. Hay Rogers, age 90 of Florence Township, NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Mrs. Rogers was born in Roebling, the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Annie Reiner Hay and resided in Florence Township lifelong. Grace was gifted with a delightful sound and beautiful singing voice which she shared with the Methodist Choir. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and granny. In addition to the joyful time she spent with her family, Grace looked forward to the annual "Golden Girls Summer Camp" at her daughter and son-in-law's home on LBI with her "cherished besties". Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Hedding United Methodist Church and the JAR Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence N. Rogers Jr., son, Clarence N. Rogers III and her son-in-law, Roland W. Phifer Jr. Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Linda Phifer, granddaughter and her husband, Lisa and Michael Trofe, great grandchildren, Abigail Grace and Alex Michael Trofe, special friend of 80 years, Barbara Salaga Iuliucci and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday 11:00 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Pastor Neill Tolboom officiating. Friends may call Monday 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling. Facial covering is required. Social distancing will be in effect. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hedding United Methodist Church, P.O.
