Obituary of Alexandra Despa

Woodbridge: Alexandra Despa, age 76 of Woodbridge, New Jersey passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison Township. She was born in Dumitresti, Romania and was the daughter of the late Gheorghe and Ioaha Despa. Alexandra resided with her son and daughter-in-law in Woodbridge for the past 20 years. She enjoyed picking and preparing vegetables and fruits for her family and creating and tending to her beautiful flower garden. However, her most treasured activity was being "Nina" to her granddaughter, Daniela and keeping company with Sunny and the family parrots. She looked forward to her favorite part of each day which included savoring a good cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie. Alexandra also got excited about the shopping trips she took with her family. She was a member of Holy Angels Michael and Gabriel Romanian Orthodox Church in Roebling, New Jersey. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her 5 brothers and sisters and is survived by her children and their spouses, Catalin and Valentina Notinaru, Juliana Notinaru and Dominick, Liviu Koshir, Florin Koshir and Cristi Koshir, granddaughter, Daniela Notinaru and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Holy Angels Michael and Gabriel Romanian Orthodox Church, 580 Hamilton Avenue, Roebling with Rev. Laurentiu Dragusin officiating.
