Obituary of James E. "Jake" Tomosi

Roebling: James E. "Jake" Tomosi, age 69 of Roebling, New Jersey passed away Friday, October 23, 2020. Mr. Tomosi was born in Roebling and was the son of the late Michael and Anna Olajos Tomosi. James made Roebling his permanent home. He was retired from Rimtec Corporation in Burlington after 13 years of loyal service and also dedicated 32 years of service during his employment at Occidental Chemical Corporation. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mr. Tomosi was a 1969 graduate of Florence Township Memorial High School. Jim's family and friends will affectionately remember him for his dedication and devotion to his family. He was a loyal man and awesome provider for his wife and children. His strong ambition and ethical values enabled James to perfect his carpentry skills to a level of excellence and successfully build his own home. Jim loved to go fishing in his spare time and also travel to Europe with his wife Maria. Mr. Tomosi was a member of Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Holy Assumption Church also serving as a faithful usher in the parish for many years. Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Csicsovszki and is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maria Csicsovszki Tomosi, his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Diana Tomosi and Steven and Nicole Tomosi, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Phyllis Tomosi and Edward and Carol Tomosi, 3 grandchildren, Brady, Anthony and Emma Tomosi and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 12:00 PM at Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 AM until church departure at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery. Social distancing and gathering restrictions will be in effect. All visitors will be required to wear a facial covering. Jim's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation.
