Riverside: John Stadvec, Jr., age 70 of Riverside, New Jersey and formerly of Roebling passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Stadvec was born in Riverside and was the son of the late John Sr. and Mary Cryan Stadvec. He resided in Roebling before moving to Riverside in 1989. John's 48 year career as a shop supervisor began working for RCA in Moorestown later to become Lockheed Martin. John was a 1968 graduate of Florence Township Memorial High School and received his bachelor's degree in elementary education from Newark State College. He was most content going on nature walks and hiking in Gettysburg Park and Pennsbury Manor State Park, especially during the fall season which was his favorite time of year. On occasion John enjoyed a trip to Philadelphia Park and Cherry Hill racetracks, doing board games and coaching Florence Township t ball for his son's team. First and foremost he was most passionate about spending quality time with his family. Mr. Stadvec was a former member of the Pope John Paul Knights of Columbus Council 7428, member and past president of the Roebling School #5 PTA and was a union representative for RCA in Moorestown. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey David Stadvec and his grandmother, Emma Stadvec. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Barbara A. Csik Stadvec, his son and daughter-in-law John III and Jennifer Stadvec, his grandchildren, Dominic, Jaymison, Emma Rose, John IV and Jordyn, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Shirley Stadvec and Jimmy and Becky Stadvec, his extended Csik family, Joseph Csik and Edie Reel, Bernadette and Brian Bush and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM on Friday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling with Pastor Maritza Gonzalez officiating. Interment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Social distancing and gathering restrictions will be in effect. All visitors will be required to wear a facial covering. John's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Hospice of Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association, 300 Harper Drive, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
