Atco, John C. Kostrub, age 86 of Atco, passed away August 5th at Cooper Hospital University Medical Center, Camden. Mr. Kostrub was born in Roebling and was the son of the late John P. and Agnes Simko Kostrub. Jack lived in Atco the past 20 years and was formerly of Roebling and Florence. He was a wire drawer for John A. Roebling & Sons, C.F.& I. Corp. and a Barber in Roebling for many years. Spits as he was affectionately named was a standout player for the Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Baseball Team and the Delaware Valley Baseball League. He is survived by his sister Carol Koches of Punta Gorda FL, nieces and nephews and their spouses, Kathleen & Gregory Novotny, Lori Ann & Orie Corino, Robert & Beth Koches, Michael & Tricia Koches and Kenneth Koches and many great nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday October 7th, 11AM at Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Ave., Roebling, NJ 08554. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Social distancing and gathering restrictions will be in effect. All attendees will be required to wear facial covering. John's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation.
