Hamilton, Antonia Weingart age 94 of Hamilton Township, New Jersey passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at her home in the company of her loving family. Mrs. Weingart was born on January 3, 1926 in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine and was the daughter of the late Nikita and Anna Horbatko Dschulik. She married her husband, Jakob Weingart in May of 1946 and immigrated to the United States with her family on July 1, 1950. Antonia will be affectionately remembered for being an amazing role model and inspiration to her family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Although her family was the center of her life, she also had a passion for cooking, baking, sewing, reading and enjoyed taking walks. She was an accomplished guitar player and appreciated Ukrainian poetry. Antonia was blessed with longevity which enabled her to perpetuate her Ukrainian traditions through several generations of her family. Her warmly affectionate, tenderhearted and clever personality will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones. Mrs. Weingart was a lifelong and founding member of St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, starting with the original church located on Centre Street in Trenton, New Jersey and the new church in Yardville. Antonia belonged to St. Olga's Sisterhood of the church, was a 40 year member of the church choir, volunteered her time and talents making pierogies and was a dedicated Ukrainian school teacher for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Jakob Weingart who passed away in 1991 and is survived by her children, Valentina Fesenko and family friend, Joseph Iacono, Jakob Weingart Jr. and Lily and John Petrangeli, her grandchildren, Zina Suriano, John Fesenko and Elaina Brown, LeighAnne Petrangeli, Laura Petrangeli, Talia Montes, Jakob Weingart III and Adam and Michael Weingart, her great grandchildren, Alex and Lauren Suriano, Aiden, Gabriel and Liam Montes, her nieces, Sonia and Greg Uditis and Lora and Les Butler, her nephew, Walter Dschulik and her great nephew, Nicholas Butler. Funeral Services and final disposition will be held privately. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:30 PM until the time of service at St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 839 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, New Jersey. Panahida service will be 7:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery. Social distancing and gathering restrictions will be in effect. All visitors will be required to wear a facial covering. Antonia's family is grateful for everyone's cooperation.
