Obituary of Loren G. Jones

Florence Township: Loren G. Jones, age 84 of Florence, New Jersey passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Jones was born in Zanesville, Ohio and was the son of the late Donald and Virginia Zinsmeister Jones. Loren has been a resident of Florence Township for 60 years. He was a bank vice president for the Mechanics Bank in Burlington and the store manager for the Wawa on Broad Street in Florence for more than 20 years before his retirement. Mr. Jones served his country in the US Army with honor. Life gave Loren a wonderful family, a happy home and love for each other. Loren was someone to admire and respect and he was a loving husband and an amazing dad and pop pop. His family was the greatest treasure that he had. The little things in his life are what made his life beautiful. Watching M*A*S*H on TV, trips to the Atlantic City and Parx Casinos, cooking and occasionally dining out were some of his favorite activities. He was predeceased by his sisters, Donna Benjamin and Wanda Dunkle and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Doris P. Coates Jones, his sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Marcy Jones and Kent and Debbie Jones, his grandson and spouse, Dale and Brittany Jones, several nieces and nephews, his extended family and all those who were like family to him. Funeral services and interment will be held privately. There will be no calling hours.
