Obituary of Edward J. Flowers

Florence Township, New Jersey and Cape Coral, Florida: Edward J. Flowers, age 72 of Florence and Cape Coral passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. Mr. Flowers was born in Plainfield, NJ and was the son of the late Edward and Helen Ostapovich Flowers. He resided in South Plainfield before moving to Florence Township. Mr. Flowers was a retired telephone technician, employed by the Hackensack Meridian JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ with more than 15 years of dedicated service. Ed's life was a simple one. He enjoyed life's uncomplicated pleasures which included vacationing in Cape Coral, Florida. However, his most enjoyable times were spent with his grandson, Sean. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Diana M. McElven Flowers, who passed away in 2011 and his step daughter, Maureen Beebe. He is survived by his brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Geoffrey and Pat McElven, his sister-in-law, Carla McElven, grandson, Sean James Young and good friend, Rose Marie Irwin. Funeral services and burial will be held privately with Deacon Ronald Schwoebel officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Florence Township Chapter of Deborah, P.O.
