Please share a memory of Anibal to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lowell, Massachusetts: Anibal Oquendo Serrano, age 74 of Lowell passed away unexpectedly and quickly due to complications from lung cancer, which was recently diagnosed in February. He was surrounded by his loving family. Anibal was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico and was the son of the late Alteo Oquendo Santiago and Leonor Serrano. He resided in New Jersey and Philadelphia before moving Lowell 29 years ago. Some of Anibal's most pleasurable times were spent listening to Bachata, preparing his ethnic cuisine, grilling on the BBQ grill, tending to his vegetable and floral gardens and merely spending time outdoors. His most gratifying times were spent with his family, especially sharing quality time with his grandchildren. For those who knew and loved him, he will be affectionately remembered for his wit and infectious personality and his ability to brighten the room with one of his famous jokes. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his 5 siblings, including his brother and best friend Ismael and his wife of 28 years, Juanita who passed away in 1999. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Bebe and Jose and Christy and Glenny, his grandchildren, Jeliana, who was his princess, Yanzel and Jayvies, siblings, Elba, Panchita, Ramona and Efrain and his many nieces and nephews. We remember in a special way his loyal companions Princess and Speedy. Funeral services and final disposition will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to a GoFundMe account set up in his name, https://www.gofundme.com/f/anibal-oquendo?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet  Condolences may be sent to www.koschekandporterfuneralhome.com
