Obituary of Kenneth "Ken" Volcskai
Hedding: Kenneth “Ken” Volcskai, age 72 of Hedding passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 in the presence of his loving family. Mr. Volcskai was born in Trenton and was the son of the late Stephen J. and Rose Lukacs Volcskai. He resided in Hedding most of his life. Mr. Volcskai was a retired supervisor for ETS in Princeton with more than 25 years of dedicated service and was also employed by Hertz in Bordentown for more than 10 years. Kenneth was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Ken found pleasure with the simple aspects of his life such as gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and merely spending time outdoors. He was extremely proud of his two sons and their accomplishments and also his Hungarian heritage. Ken was an avid Florence Township recreational sports enthusiast who never passed up the opportunity to attend his son’s games and participate in their activities. He was actively involved with the CYO basketball league and the ETS bowling and softball leagues. Ken will be affectionately remembered for his gift of conversation. He not only enjoyed a pleasant conversation with family and friends, he did not hesitate to stop and help individuals in need of assistance. Mr. Volcskai was a member of Holy Assumption Church and the Holy Name Society of the church and the Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Post 39, Roebling. He was involved with the catering committee in Holy Assumption School. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Bonnie Volcskai and is survived by his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stephen J. Volcskai of Glen Allen, VA and Adam & Melissa Volcskai of Allentown, PA, grandson, Adam Christopher Volcskai, sister, Christine Wilson and brother, Joseph Volcskai and many cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 11:00 AM in Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 AM until church departure at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Inurnment will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling.
