Obituary of Pearl Bucs
Florence Township, Pearl Bucs, age 89 a lifelong resident of Roebling and Florence, died Thursday at home. Mrs. Bucs was born in Roebling, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Bogdanyi Lukacs. She was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Unit 39 and John A. Roebling Senior Citizens. Pearl enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe with her late husband and also with her family in later years. She was a person of independence. Even in her late 70s and 80s she was the aerobic instructor for the Florence Senior Citizens. Puttering in her yard and gardening were also enjoyable activities but most importantly she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, James Bucs Sr., brother, Joseph Lukacs and sister Elizabeth DeMattio. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Darrell Lease of Roebling, son and daughter-in-law, James II & Elaine Bucs of Pemberton Borough and daughter, Roseann Simpkins of Florence. Two sisters, Elsie Bucs of Hershey, PA and Rose Volsckai of Hedding. 10 granchildren and their spouses Jennifer and Shawn, David and Tracy, Robin and Andrew, Kristin and Joshua, Allison, Ian and Amy, Alleah and Drew, Erin and Jacob, Christa, Michael. 17 great grandchildren, Charity, Natalie, Brett, Andie, Skyler, Ariana, Gianna, Gillian, Cooper, Ian, Emily, Gavin, Ava, Ashley, Rachel, Mia and Thomas. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Wednesday 8:30 AM at Koschek And Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave. Roebling. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM at Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Roebling. Burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 PM. Rosary recitation 7:15 PM and Legion services 8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
