Aunt Chris, i am sorry for the loss that you have endured. I wish i could be there for you at the service but as you said i will be there in spirit instead. Know that i love you and am glad to have had you as an aunt. I also love Uncle John, he always had a way of making me laugh. I wrote a poem about him to be read at the service and i will post it here so it will be forever in writing and never lost.
For My Uncle John,
Written With Love from His Niece, Nicole
October 19, 2006
When a person leaves this Earth their soul moves on,
They go to a place where they don’t feel hate or pain or sadness anymore,
That is where I believe my uncle's soul to have gone,
So I write this poem, in remembrance of him, the man we all knew once before.
My Uncle John, John, or Johnny as some called him,
Is a man that won't be forgotten,
A man determined to win,
A man who is now safe and happy up in heaven.
He was always around from the very beginning for me,
watched me grow up and was there during my important life experiences,
And I will always believe,
that he's in a better place, one where he will be granted all of his wishes.
He will be deeply missed,
by family and friends,
and may his soul now be blessed,
while those of us left come together to make amends.
And with this I want to say,
Uncle John, I love you,
and with each and every passing day,
you will be remembered, through and through.

Dear Chris,
I wanted to tell you what I think of you and I want you to be able to refer to it over the next few months. You were a phenomenal wife to Johnny, he loved you and always talked to me about how great you were. Even in the worst of times, you were always his constant. I admire the wife you were to my brother and I thank God you were the strong person that you are, a weaker person could not have survived some of his "tests of the human spirit". You were so patient and supportive of him. He was truly blessed to have had you as his wife. And, you have been a wonderful sister-in -law to me and a great aunt for my kids. Thank you and know that I love you. Robin

John Wilson in cyberspace, who would of thought. At best we would be considered holiday types from a religious standpoint. Yet our teaching tells us there is a Heaven and Hell with purgatory in between . I hope your penance is considered paid in full. So that your journey is without obstacles. The confines of the physical and mental states are no more and that you stand tall, clear of mind. I told you before when you were here, so you would know I meant it, "I will miss you when you are gone". That time has come the sentiment still stands. You are my brother, my best man!
Your brother, Tom

Uncle John will be greatly missed. I will always cherish the Christmas mornings that we spent together for so many years; they were very special. His eccentricities could always make me smile. :)
