Roebling: Maryann Bordash Brooks Lathrop, age 81 of Roebling, New Jersey entered her eternal life on Friday, December 29, 2023. She was born in Trenton and proudly called the Village of Roebling her home lifelong. Maryann was a retired secretary for the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services in Trenton with 25 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Holy Assumption Church in Roebling, life member of the Willitts Hogan Tonne American Legion Unit 39 in Roebling, the Burlington County American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the State of New Jersey American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, a life member of the Opre Larson VFW Post 8838 Ladies Auxiliary and the John A. Roebling Senior Citizens. Maryann unselfishly donated her time and talents to her community and will be remembered for her generosity to her community through various fundraising and charitable activities. She will be affectionately remembered and celebrated for her light-hearted character and personality. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas Bordash and Anne Adams Bordash and her husband, Phillip E. Lathrop who passed away in 1988 and is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Dawn and John Toth and Deanna and Richard Morris, her grandchildren, Alexandra Morris and fiancĂ©, Zackary Hann and Ted DeCarlo as well as several cousins and many special and unwavering friends. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Interment will be private in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township. The family requests memorial contributions are made to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, Iowa 50037-0839.
