Obituary of Jean M. Phillips
Roebling: Jean M. "Mag" Phillips age 96, of Roebling, New Jersey entered her eternal life on Saturday, December 23, 2023 in the company of her loving family. Mrs. Phillips was the daughter of the late William Pukenas and Anna Yakubonis Pukenas. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Adele and Richard and her husband Henry F. Phillips. She was a member of Holy Assumption Church in Roebling. Some of Jean's favorite times were spent enjoying nature and the tranquility her garden had to offer, watching game shows on TV and always finding time in her day to read a good book. She will be celebrated for her delicious "Hungarian Goulash" and "Irish Stew" she prepared for her family. However, Jean never passed up the opportunity to spend the day antiquing with her brother and best buddy, George and reselling their finds. Perhaps, her "all time" favorite moments were spent sharing her endless supply of love by fulfilling her role as "Mum Mum" to her granddaughters. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Deborah J. Ulmer-Phillips, her brother and best friend, George Pukenas, her cherished granddaughters and a spouse, Andrea Jean Ulmer and Daniel Burns and Deanna Leigh Ulmer as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday from 8:30AM until church departure at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ with Rev. Martin O'Reilly officiating. Burial will be in Holy Assumption Cemetery, Roebling.
