Obituary of George J. Ondusko Sr.

Florence: George J. Ondusko, Sr., age 72 of Florence, New Jersey departed this life at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Mr. Ondusko was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Joseph John Ondusko Sr. and Helen Georgeann Partches Ondusko. George resided in Florence Township for the majority of his life and was a retired painter and construction worker with various companies throughout his career. He served his country with honor in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Some of George's favorite times were spent landing the "Catch of the Day" and pursuing the challenge of a "Good Hunt". He had a fondness for dogs and loved his pets. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Justin Ondusko and his siblings, William Ondusko and Joseph "Moochie" Ondusko Jr. George is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, George J. Jr. and Melissa Ondusko, his sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Jerry Darvas, his former wife, Jeanne Ondusko, extended family, Terry Folsom as well as his nephews, Joseph Ondusko III and Jason Darvas. Funeral services will begin 10:30 AM Wednesday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N.
