Obituary of Nicholas J. "Nicky" Delre

Please share a memory of Nicholas to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Roebling: Nicholas J. “Nicky” Delre, age 75 of Roebling, New Jersey ended his journey on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Mr. Delre was born in New Brunswick and resided in New Brunswick and Trenton before moving to Roebling 28 years ago. Nicholas retired after 30 years of dedicated service in sales and management for the retail furniture industry. Nicky never passed up the opportunity to complete a crossword puzzle to his satisfaction, enjoy the beauty of nature while gardening and was always ready to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys to victory. He unselfishly volunteered his time, talents and generosity to the "Living For A Cause Animal Welfare" group. Perhaps his greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, Karen and his entire family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Delre and Joanne Zito Delre, his daughter, Michelle Delre and his brother- in- law, Romeo Sowards. Nicholas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Delre, son and daughter-in-law, Nick Jr. and Jacklyn Delre, siblings and their spouses, Joanne Dowd, Daniel and Renee Delre, Mary Sowards and James and Margaret Delre, grandchildren and their spouses, Angela and Mario Costa, Dominic and Aleisha Delre and Anthony Delre and Rachelle, mother-in-law, Janice Maggetti as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ.  Final disposition will be private.
