Obituary of Geraldine J. "Gerry" Stanton

Please share a memory of Geraldine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Roebling: Geraldine J. “Gerry” Stanton, age 70 of Roebling, New Jersey completed her journey on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in the company of her loving family. Mrs. Stanton was born in Trenton to the late Leon G. Carty and Jane A. Lundin Carty. She resided in Columbus, New Jersey before calling Roebling her home. Geraldine was a retired administrative assistant for the State of New Jersey Department of Education in Trenton with 33 years of exemplary service. Gerry supported her community by volunteering her time to the Holy Assumption Church Food Pantry in Roebling. She had a lifelong passion for animals and found great solace spending time in her garden. For those who were a cherished part of her life, she will be celebrated for her infectious smile and contagious laughter. Perhaps the smile that beautified her expression most was when she was spending quality time with her beloved grandson, Henryk (Hank). Mrs. Stanton was a member of the Crochet Club and Holy Assumption Church in Roebling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Kristine Persichilli and is  survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Kevin Stanton, her loving children and their spouses, Todd and Cristin Henry and Jessica and Darek Risko, her beloved grandson, Henryk "Hank" Risko, brother, Leon "Butch" Carty, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karren and Mark Newman and Kim and Richard Raike, mother-in-law, Joan Stanton, several nieces and nephews as well as her special friends, Shirley Littleford and her husband Jeffrey Goldman. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at the church for a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM on Thursday at Holy Assumption Church, 1290 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ with Rev. Martin O'Reilly officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Final disposition will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to the American Cancer Society, Sarcoma Research, P.O.
