Obituary of James H. "Jim" States Jr.

Florence: James H. “Jim” States Jr., age 70 of Florence, New Jersey departed this life Friday, July 28, 2023. Mr. States was born in Riverside and was raised in Hamilton Township. He was proud to call Florence his home for the past 45 years. James was retired from American Honda Motor Company in Mount Laurel with 40 years of dedicated service. Jim enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He savored the time he spent in his garden, liked chopping wood and found peace while he was observing the activities of the fish in his aquarium. James had a talent for excellent auto repairs and was handy with home improvements. For those who had the pleasure of being part of Jim's life, perhaps the most memorable quality he possessed was his awesome personality. He was predeceased by his mother, Fay Rodman States and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna Stefanoni States, his father James H. States Sr., his sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Dave McDonald and Winifred and Robert Behrens, nieces and their families, Coleen, Laura and Elizabeth, nephew, Andrew, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Louis and Barbara Stefanoni and Anthony Stefanoni and Robert Rosenberg and his dear friend, Beth Chamberlin. Friends may call Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Avenue, Roebling, NJ. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
